Welcome!
Jillian Jensen is a 30-year-old singer-songwriter currently residing in Tennessee.
She has been performing on a stage since the young age of 2 years old.
Known for her distinct raspy voice and musical versatility, Jillian is the true epitome of an "artist". She is trained in classical piano & guitar, but also plays ukulele, rhythm mandolin, and bass guitar.
In 2007, she was crowned Miss Massachusetts Teen America where her love of community service and talent landed Jillian a spot in the nationals. Her platform the "Magic Of Music" is an organization that raises funds to give away scholarships to individuals who wish to pursue music, however, lack the finances for lessons or to purchase instruments of their own.
In September 2012, Jillian made her television debut on Fox's "The X Factor USA," where she blew the judges away (including Simon Cowell) with her rendition of Jessie J's "Who You Are," leaving judge LA Reid to state he "had never, ever heard anyone take their experiences, take their pain, take their emotions, and pour it into the song like you did. EVER! That's what this business is all about! You've got it!" Overnight, the video went viral. Jillian's touching audition gained millions of views on social media, and her name became known worldwide to individuals whom, like herself, have a story to tell. Jillian was coached by one of her idols, Demi Lovato, and made it to the Top 24 that season.
*In April 2020, the video of Jillian's auction resurfaced on X factor Global's Facebook Page and gathered over 250 million views.
After her time on X Factor, Jillian began speaking at schools all across the US on the topics of Anti-Bullying, Depression, Eating Disorders, Self-harm, as well as other important subjects.
In 2013, Jillian accompanied her friend to a private performance by Ed Sheeran put on by WBLI of Long Island, NY. During the Q&A, Jillian jokingly asked if she could sing with him. To her surprise, Ed invited her to join him, where they sand his newest single at the time, "Lego House." Ed stated that "he gets asked to do that all the time, and this was the first time it actually worked."
Later that same year, at the urging of her family and friends, Jillian decided to give the show circuit another try and auditioned for season 13 of American Idol. She landed in the top 30 with one of her original songs, "In Your Arms."
In 2014, Jillian released a solo album with all original music, including "In Your Arms" as a bonus track.
As Jillian continued to grow as an artist and to escape the X-Factor and American Idol stigma, she created a stage name "Amber Eyes." Shortly after, Jillian was recognized by Katy Perry in a Glamour Magazine segment of "You Sang My Song," where Katy was blown away after watching a cover of her song "Unconditionally" by Jillian and Fellow American Idol alum Brielle Von Hugel.
In March 2018, Jillian performed a cover of Halsey's, "Bad At Love" with Internet sensations Post Modern Jukebox, which led to her joining them on their tour in
April/May of 2018.
Jillian started her own country band in September 2018 and proceeded to merge the name "Amber Eyes" to the group project.
The band rapidly gained traction and was invited by Matthew Ramsey (of Old Dominion) to participate in incredible opportunities, such as opening for Old Dominion, Jordan Davis and Mitchell Tenpenny at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, and performing at the Zac Brown Band concert pre-party at Fenway Stadium through Country 102.5.
On September 10th, 2019, Amber Eyes released their self-titled debut album, which charted at #69 on the Top 100 iTunes/Country Charts.
On June 3rd, 2021, Amber Eyes released the music video for "Will You Listen Anyway", the title track off of their 2021 EP.
They have a new EP out entitled, "This is the Best of Me".
